Bahar Hafizi is a senior corporate commercial lawyer with over 20 years of experience built at some of Canada’s top law firms. Her practice spans a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, with a particular focus on secured lending and financial services.
Prior to joining DuMoulin Black, Bahar spent most of her career at national firms, where she advised clients on complex financing and corporate transactions, including in her role as a partner. She later founded and led BH Legal, a boutique firm she ran for six years, serving a diverse and sophisticated client base across industries.
Bahar’s lending practice includes advising financial institutions, borrowers, and private lenders on syndicated debt facilities, cross-border financings, and real estate-backed lending. She brings a practical, business-oriented approach to all her work, grounded in deep transactional experience.
In 2022, Bahar was named one of Canada’s Most Influential Lawyers by Canadian Lawyer magazine, and in 2023, BH Legal was recognized as an Excellence Awardee for Boutique Law Firm of the Year by the Canadian Law Awards.
Bahar is actively involved in her community and currently sits on the Board of Trustees for the West Vancouver Memorial Library.
