Paula Spalding is a Marketing and Business Development Specialist who brings a unique blend of legal industry knowledge, client service expertise and relationship building experience to her role. Paula joined the firm as a corporate and securities paralegal in 2023, where she established an understanding of a wide range of corporate and capital markets matters, including stock exchange compliance with the TSX, TSX Venture Exchange, and Canadian Securities Exchange, public and private financings, prospectus and exempt offerings, qualifying transactions and ongoing continuous disclosure obligations and in 2026, transitioned into marketing and business development, where she uses her understanding of the industry to help support growth and strengthen client relationships.
Before joining the firm, Paula worked as a legal executive assistant, in a practice focused on early-stage financings and M&A transactions involving emerging and high-growth companies. Her experience in both legal and business environments gives her a practical perspective on the needs of clients and the industries the firm serves.
Prior to her legal career, Paula spent more than 10 years in hospitality and client service roles. Those experiences helped her develop strong communication, relationship building and problem solving skills, which continue to shape her approach to marketing and business development today.
Outside of work, Paula's busiest role is being a mom to her son. When she's not supporting the firm growth, she's usually spending time with her family or being outnumbered by her three cats.
